Set PrtSc Key

  1. Press Win+I (Windows key plus upper case I) to launch Settings

  2. Click Accessibility on the left then Keyboard on the right

  3. Make sure the Use the Print screen button to open screen snipping is On

Launch the Snipping Tool app

  1. Press the PrtSc (Print Screen) key to launch the Snipping Tool

  2. The screen will darken and show the capture tools at the top in the centre

  3. Click on the capture tool you want to use

  4. From the left the tools are:

    1. Rectangle: drag the cursor around the rectangular section of the screen you wish to capture
    2. Freeform: drag the cursor around the irregular area you wish to capture
    3. Window: click on any app window to capture it
    4. Fullscreen: click anywhere to capture the whole screen
  5. When you release the mouse you will be prompted:

  6. The screenshot is held on the clipboard

  7. Click on the prompt if you wish to change the capture, or the X to finish the capture

  8. Now you can Paste the screen capture image into any other app like WhatsApp Web on a Windows machine
